About England Set for Life. England's Set for Life 5/47+1/10 began in March 2019. Set for Life is a Powerball type game, in that five numbers are selected from one group (of 47 numbers) and one number, the Life number, is selected from a different group of (10) numbers. The Set for Life jackpot is £10,000 every month for 30 years. When you win the top prize in an annuity lottery, such as Set For Life, that’s not the case; instead you get paid in regular instalments over a number of years, hence the term 'annuity lottery'. There are two annuity prizes in Set For Life. The top prize pays out £10,000 a month for 30 years and the second prize pays £10,000 a month for one.
